The Hungarian rapper participated in the meeting with Patrícia Poeta this Wednesday (12/17) and confirmed that the discomfort that led to his hospitalization in October was caused by methanol poisoning. On national television, the artist said that the definitive diagnosis came only after laboratory tests were carried out.
“You can’t help but be afraid. It was confirmed that it was methanol. There was no way to confirm it at that time because when I got to the hospital they did the test and the test takes a while for the results to come back, but because of the acidity of the blood, Doctor Leandro already confirmed that it was methanol,” Hungary said.

This position was based on a report indicating 0.54 mg/dL of the substance in the singer’s blood, a value above the reference value (0.25 mg/dL), but below the level considered toxic, which would be above 20 mg/dL. SES-DF also highlighted that traces of methanol may be present in drinks sold within the safety limits established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.
However, Hungary explains that the confirmation came from a complete analysis of the clinical picture, in particular the acidity of the blood, in addition to the final results of the tests.
The artist also spoke about the emotional impact of the episode and said the experience brought a change in perspective. “I’m very much a family man, I thought a lot about my mother and my daughter. We tend to come out of situations like these being more grateful for life and understanding that life really is a breath,” he said.
