A little over a year after his official retirement from the slopes, Rafa Nadal talks about his new life in the podcast With a lot of, produced by NDL Pro-Santé. He talks about his fatherhood, his dietary whims and his current routines.
“It’s a little difficult to say what everyday life is like because there is no more routine like before. After so many years of devoting myself to the same thing, I think that It’s a time when we do a lot of things and figure out what I like most and least,” he said.
Fatherhood has also made him change his routine: “Before, I woke up with the alarm, Now I have a child who wakes me up earlier. I normally train from 8:30 to 10:00 in the morning. If I wait until the last minute, I always have excuses not to comply.”
“It’s a life with little routine, I try to organize my day so that I can spend time at home. I like to pick up the child from school, I do it as soon as I can. And then I try to do most of my work in the morning.
When asked if fatherhood had changed his outlook on life, Rafa Nadal was clear: “No, I have always been a person who loved children and I knew that was my dream. The way of living, a little. Ultimately, you have a slightly different responsibility. »
Additionally, he revealed that he returned to another sport he dreamed of as a child: “I played football several times after 15 years without practically playing. You have no idea how bad I became,” » he said between two laughs.
Regarding his diet, he confessed that he doesn’t follow anything strict and when asked if he allows himself any whims, he revealed that “almost daily”: “I really like milk chocolate, unfortunatelybut hey, I try to regulate myself.”
