I Love LA tells the story of a group of friends who go through different situations in both their professional and personal lives. The show takes place in Los Angeles and combines acidic humor with the digital culture of the Zillennial generation – a mix of the Millennial and Z generations.
Starring actors Rachel Sennott, Odessa A’zion, True Whitaker, Jordan Firstman and Josh Hutcherson, the series was released on November 2, 2025 and has already become one of the major highlights of HBO Max.

The similarity with the famous series Sex & The City is not just a coincidence. Christina Flannery once assumed that was inspired by Carrie Bradshaw’s style in the first seasons to create the wardrobe of Maia, the protagonist of the series played by Rachel Sennot.
According to the professional, Maia’s costume is a mix of three people: Carrie Bradshaw, Reese Witherspoon in the film Cruel Intentions and actress Claire Danes in the 1990s.
I Love LA seems to have invested in luxury bags as its signature, following in the footsteps of Sex and the City and Manolo Blahnik’s iconic pumps. Throughout the eight episodes of the first season, it is possible to see Dior, Balenciaga and Fendi bags being part of the story.
