Gimnasia remains active in the transfer market and keeps important negotiations open for next season. In this context, the president of the club, Carlos Anacleto, provided powerful definitions on possible reinforcements, the sporting direction, the economic situation and the structural plans of the institution, with particular focus on the possible return of Ignacio Miramón.
The Albiazul owner confirmed that there were advanced discussions and explained the current status of the effort. “I spoke to Milton (Casco) and he also has an offer from abroad and he will define what he will do. I talked to Miramón and I think it’s 50% or 60% finished. We will monitor your situation closely“, he explained, noting that negotiations are still open but there are positive signs.

Regarding the composition of the squad, Anacleto emphasized a clear policy of measured integration and a strong commitment to training the divisions. “We will bring little but good. Gimnasia has good youth players and we will bet on that. Gimnasia will not give away his wealth and will sell his youth well. Nacho (Fernández) will contribute a lot to the younger players, he is a reference on and off the field and that is why we decided to bring him in. There will be a lot for us“, held.
The president also outlined Lobo’s sporting goals with an ambitious and far-reaching vision. “Our goal is to honor the history of Gimnasia, the eighth club with the most points in the history of Argentine football. We want to fight for the Copa Sudamericana and not for relegation“, he emphasized.

At the institutional level, Anacleto surprised by confirming that the leadership was working on a completely new stadium project. “We are working on the construction of the new stadium. From the ground up. We have this project in mind and we have the will to implement it, and it is not so long-term.“, he assured.
Finally, he referred to the economic situation adopted and the internal organizational process that the company is going through. “It will take a while to find our way, especially because the club’s situation is not the best. We have been preparing for months to gradually improve. “The situation is delicate and debts are emerging, but little by little we are controlling the situation.”
“We knew more or less what the debt margin was and this number is close to what we expected. There is a great professional team that will do some things in a few months that will turn heads.“, he concluded.
OTHERS IN THE WOLF’S TARGET
One of the names Gimnasia also uses as an alternative midfielder is Santiago Dalmasso, the 20-year-old midfielder who plays for Boca Reserve. He was one of the highlights of the division team and even had a few call-ups to the first team in 2025. Lobo’s idea is to achieve a one-year loan deal as Xeneize wants the player to have major league experience. It would have to be defined whether a purchase option is included or not.
Then the name Milton Casco, another full-back who emerged from the club, keeps coming up. The idea of the men’s Sana is to offer him a contract for a season, since Casco will be free of River at the end of the year. The player also attracted interest from Racing and Newell’s, a club he was also involved with for a while.
After playing for Millonario for more than a decade, the winger came into action in 2025 when he replaced Acuña. In total, he played 20 games across all competitions and scored two goals. At the age of 37, he would like to end his career with the club where he was born.
