According to the deputy chief of the 19th Police Station (B North), Fernando Fernandez, after the crime, Diego broke into the house of the restaurant manager. At that time, only the principal’s 11-year-old daughter was home.

The suspect then took her cell phone and called the manager, threatening and demanding money, according to Fernando.

She then chose to arrange a meeting place to hand over the money and informed the military police.

At the agreed upon point, the police arrested the person and took him to the police directorate.

The representative said Diego knew the manager and chef at the restaurant. Furthermore, the suspect was wearing the watch stolen from the man who was stabbed during the arrest.

The detained man’s partner has not yet been identified or located.

Crime

A man was approached while the restaurant was closed around 3pm on Sunday (11/30). According to the Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF), the crime occurred after the cook refused to deliver a free lunch to one of the suspects, identified as Diego.

According to the testimony of the restaurant manager and the victim, Diego would often order lunch boxes on site. A few days ago, he was reported to have had a dispute with the cook who allegedly refused food.

While the restaurant was closing, the cook was surprised by the duo who stabbed him near his neck and finger, in addition to punching him and tying him up. The man was begging not to take any more knife blows.

The couple allegedly tried to take the man’s car, but because it was cut off, they were unable to start the car, which was left at the scene.
