An impressive fire has been keeping the San Carlos district in suspense since midday this Monday. The flames engulfed area 147 and 42, in the middle of a heatwave that isn’t helping.
According to official sources who told Diario EL DIA, a team of firefighters from the San Carlos Barracks “has been on duty since 1:00 p.m.” There are currently no injuries.
The neighbors’ biggest fear is that the fire could spread to the houses surrounding the affected property. As you can see, there are large amounts of dry grass that does nothing to fight the flames.
It’s worth remembering the importance of extreme preventative measures, as dry grasses and oppressive heat make an explosive combination. It is recommended to avoid lighting a fire to burn trash or to ensure there are no burning embers that could re-ignite the magmatic sources.
