Despite the blunder, all parts of the model were quickly sold out
Summary
Botafogo launched a shirt in partnership with the brand Approve with a misspelling of the phrase “person”, but, despite the gaffe, the pieces quickly sold out, generating ripples among fans.
Botafogo’s partnership with the Brazilian brand Approve, in the launch of casual clothing and accessories for the club, gave rise to something to talk about this Friday the 12th. A t-shirt, sold for R$279.99, was supposed to carry the words “No one understands this feeling”, in reference to one of the songs most sung by Glorioso fans in the stands. However, the word “person” was misspelled, “person”, and generated repercussions.
The official Approve website even posted a video showing the details of the coin, even with the spelling mistake. However, the situation did not harm sales. The pieces quickly sold out, sparking discontent among some fans on social media.
Interestingly, another shirt, inspired by baseball uniforms but bearing the same phrase, was also sold. However, the words are embroidered and, this time, written correctly. The piece, which cost R$479.99, was also sold out.
The collection is the first collaboration in the history of the General Severiano club. The set includes socks, caps, shorts, jackets and other t-shirt designs. It should be noted that to date, Botafogo has not officially commented on the spelling error present in any of the published pieces.
Lone Star power meets streetwear. Botafogo and Approve launch their first collaboration in a limited quantity collection that combines sport and fashion based on the history, culture and strength of Glorioso. 🌟👔
