Neymar declared this Saturday, during the Tardezinha show, in São Paulo, that the Brazilian team will do “the impossible” to win the 2026 World Cup title. He also took the opportunity to send a message to Carlo Ancelotti, the Brazil coach:
— We will do everything possible and impossible to bring the World Cup to Brazil. In July you can invoice me. Hello Ancelotti, help us! – he said.
Neymar has not yet been called up by the Italian coach and his presence at the World Cup is uncertain. The player has had a difficult season, due to back-to-back muscle problems.
He has only played 28 games for Santos this season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists. He is ten days from the end of his contract and is negotiating a renewal for another six months.
But before that, Neymar will undergo surgery on his left knee to correct a torn meniscus. The recovery period is one month and the operation is expected to take place this week.
Brazil’s next call-up will be for the FIFA Date in March, where two friendlies will take place in the United States against European teams: France and Croatia.
