Grieving in the world of social media and fitness after experiencing the death of Alessandro Antonicellia famous content creator who, in his later years, documented his battle with cancer in an effort to raise money for research.
The Italian, who was only 26 years old, has been battling an aggressive form of bone cancer for almost two years. “Today the world seems a little emptier“, shared his close team. “Ale left, without pain, finding the peace he deserved,” he comments, asking for respect from the family of the Italian content creator.
The young man, who had more than 193,000 subscribers on Instagram, became famous after sharing his training and, since 2023, his fight against the disease, diagnosed the same year. “Today a new journey begins for me“, he wrote as soon as he heard the news. “I was diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma, a very rare form of malignant bone cancer. A type of cancer that affects only 0.2 percent, or two cases per million people,” he explained.
December 27 of the same year underwent major surgery when his entire femur, knee and hip joints, as well as part of his quadriceps muscle, were removed and his leg was reconstructed with a total femur prosthesis.
Although he never gave up hope thanks to treatments including chemotherapy and radiotherapy, complications from the disease eventually took his life.
