Ingrid Martins, world number 78 and third best doubles player in Brazil, continues this week her pre-season which began at the beginning of the month at Yes Tennis, in Itanhangá, Rio de Janeiro, with an eye towards 2026.
The Rio native will start the year at the WTA 250 in Auckland, New Zealand, from January 5, in Hobart, Australia, from January 12, and at the Australian Open, from the 18th, the first Grand Slam of the new year.
“My season in the first half was difficult. I had to face bad results, some injuries and different obstacles that I had to face. But like the life of any athlete, it is made up of these moments and I believe that my second half was much more positive, mainly because I felt that I was playing at a high level and that is why I got better results. I am happy with my team and I believe that we are still at the beginning. I still have a lot to improve and to continue to work and adapt with different partners to eventually have a more permanent partner and do more tournaments together but above all to concentrate on my work”, said the athlete sponsored by Slyce and EQI Investimento, who trains at YES Tennis with coach Fabiano de Paula and who has Haroldo Santana as his physical trainer.
