The Federal Police even requested the arrest of Senator Weverton (PDT-MA), target of a new phase of Operation No Surrender this Thursday (12/18), but both the General Prosecutor’s Office (PGR) and the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) André Mendonça rejected the request.
André Mendonça only authorized the execution of a search and seizure warrant against the senator.

As the chronicle reveals, Weverton and his entourage maintained a series of relationships with the lobbyist Antonio Carlos Camilo Antunes, Careca of the INSS, identified as one of the main operators of the Farra do INSS, whose criminal scheme was revealed by the Metropolises.
In addition to the search and seizure warrant against Weverton, the PF arrested the current Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Social Security, Adroaldo Portal (PDT).
Adroaldo Portal was Weverton’s advisor in the Senate and, as the chronicle reveals, he received Careca from the INSS during a secret meeting within the Ministry of Social Security. The lobbyist was accompanied by Gustavo Gaspar, the parliamentarian’s right-hand man.
In a statement, Social Security Minister Wolney Queiroz said he had determined the dismissal of Adroaldo Portal and added that the ministry would continue to “actively contribute to investigations.”
