A delegated instructor accidentally shot a 38-year-old doctor during a course this Thursday (12/18). The incident occurred at the Doctor Coriolano Nogueira Cobra Civil Police Academy, in Butantã, west of São Paulo.
According to reports, the weapon hit the chest of the victim, identified as Cauê Arroyo Machado. The injured man was rescued and transported to the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP), where he was operated on.

At the scene of the incident there were around fifty people, from two different groups. According to a student present, the accident occurred during a simulated police approach. The professor was allegedly confused and used a real gun instead of a simulacrum.
