Deeply shaken, but buoyed by faith, Joelson moved his followers by posting an emotional outburst, reaffirming his confidence in his daughter’s recovery. In his message he wrote: “My daughter, if you could hear me now, I would say that you are the light that guides me, the force that keeps me standing. I would give anything to see your smile, hear your voice and hold you tight. You are the reason for my purest love. I am here every second to fight with you, believing in the miracle of your life. Lucas, who followed every stage of the hospitalization alongside his wife, also used his networks to express himself, although in a more discreet way. He posted a photo of little Arthur in Stories, marking the location of the hospital unit where Isabel is admitted. This simple image strengthened the family bond and symbolized how the son has been a source of strength for the couple throughout the process.
Isabel’s journey with lymphoma is marked by moments of remission, relapses and difficult decisions. After being diagnosed as a teenager, she began treatment, but stopped it at 17. In October 2024, already five months pregnant, she had to return to cancer care when she discovered the lymphoma had grown again. A situation that required a lot of courage and planning, especially when it came to the baby’s health.
At 28 weeks pregnant, Isabel shared with her followers that the disease had progressed, also affecting her lungs. Despite the complex scenario, she faced the final stage of pregnancy with determination and gave birth to Arthur, now 11 months old, who became one of the main symbols of hope for the family. After giving birth, Isabel began a new stage of treatment, which included a bone marrow transplant and other procedures to control the growth of the tumor.
