The new project that Bertín Osborne is studying is to transform the Hacienda San José, an enclave where he usually spends a large part of the year, into a hotel. This property is an Andalusian property located between the metropolitan area and the Los Alcores region. It’s just a few minutes from … the SE-40 and several urbanizations that surround the municipalities of Alcalá de Guadaira, El Viso del Alcor, Carmona or Mairena del Alcor.
It has almost 50 hectares and more than 2,000 square meters spread across six buildings which make up a complex typical of the region with its patios, lounges and private lounges. The main house and its annexes retain a local style with terracotta floors, surrounding architecture and details of towns in the region. In addition, in the surrounding area there are other haciendas such as Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Santa Ana or El Lavadero de Santa Teresa.
Also, there is stables, cellar, private gym, chapel and swimming pool. Other features of the hacienda owned by Bertín Osborne are a porch with an outdoor dining area and a paddle tennis court. It has large gardens and walkways decorated with arches that connect the buildings of the complex.
Hacienda San José has been used several times for television and advertising spaces featuring the presenter where he recorded numerous shows with friends and other personalities. It is part of a particular regional area which develops especially in “Lower Andalusia” and extends into the provinces of Seville, Cádiz, Huelva and part of Málaga and Córdoba.
There are old farms that are demolished but others, like that of Bertín Osborne, which continue to be used as homes; Some have been transformed into spaces for weddings and other parties and finally, hotel chains are rebuilding others to make them establishments for visitors.
