Fever for beauty of priests arrived, one more year, with the calendar published in Rome. Social networks, as expected, were quick to echo the men who make up the twelve months of the year and who, day after day, receive thousands of compliments.
Given this, this Wednesday, Ana Rosa’s program contacted Fernando Rubio, a priest who commented on the timeline and impact what it does on social networks.
“I don’t think anyone gets into this because the people are pretty.but because it is a completely normal, attractive and simple life. Being a priest is not madness; but the Roman calendar for priests has been the same for many years,” Fernando explained.
In addition, the priest emphasized that more and more young people are interested in the priesthood: “This happens often. I was thinking about what is most beautiful in the society we have today, which is very free, where we can bet on who we are, to get rid of prejudices. Before there was a fixed profile to be a priest and more and more of us consider that we want to live a different life. It’s not about having a pretty face, it’s a a free society that allows us to be who we are“.
“I am a journalist. In the middle of my studies, I had a very beautiful experience of God’s love which completely changed all my plans. My heart has always had a great desire to tell and tell stories and that fits perfectly with being a priest,” said Fernando Rubio.
Finally, the young man commented on whether he would participate as a model in a priestly calendar: “I don’t think so, it bothers me a lot. Being in front of a camera and posing doesn’t match my personality at all. It ties more with the collareven as a seminarian, for the forbidden factor“.
