The Brazilian reaffirms her supremacy in street skateboarding and wins the fourth consecutive title in the sport’s main global competition
Rayssa Leal continues to expand his legacy in skateboarding. This Sunday (7/12), at the Gymnasium Ibirapuera, in São Paulo, the 17-year-old confirmed once again her status as a world skateboard star, winning her fourth SLS Super Crown championship, considered the most important championship in professional street skateboarding. With this victory, Rayssa remains undefeated in the last four editions of the competition, reinforcing her trajectory of dazzling success within the sport.
The Maranhão native dominated the final in impressive fashion, beating some of the best skaters on the planet. Among her opponents were four top Japanese competitors: the current Olympic champion Coco Yoshizawasilver medalist at Paris 2024 Liz Akamabronze medalist in Tokyo Yuna Nakayama and the world champion Yumeka Oda. In addition to them, Rayssa also faced Chloe Covell of Australia, who is among the best in the international rankings.
Unlike her most recent appearances, where she faced tense moments, Rayssa appeared calm and focused throughout the decision. The energy of the packed room, with the fans applauding every maneuver, did not intimidate the Brazilian, who kept absolute control of the competition and produced a confident and consistent performance, winning the title without major difficulties.
The SLS Super Crown is considered the main reference in global street skateboarding, bringing together the best skateboarders on the professional circuit. The competition is famous for its technical demands and high level of competition, which makes Rayssa’s achievement even more meaningful. At just 17 years old, the Maranhão native is already collecting titles that many athletes take years to achieve, and her performances are inspiring a new generation of Brazilian and international skaters.
