ITV mechanic shows Spain’s indestructible vehicle: everyone agrees

Currently, technological development is progressing at dizzying speed and, with it, the production of consumer goods has multiplied. However, despite significant advances in design and manufacturing, many users perceive that the service life of modern products has obviously diminished compared to those of previous eras. These items that were once made to last for decades now seem designed with a predictable end in mind, fueling a cycle of rapid and continued consumption.

This phenomenon is particularly appreciated in the automotive sector, where sophistication of technology is not always accompanied by greater sustainability. Faced with this panorama, Pedro Bastida, technician of InspectionVehicle Technology (ITV) and known on social networks as itvdeltiktok, shared a video in which he explains, according to his experience, that he considers the most resistant vehicle in Spain.

With a close and enthusiastic style, Bastida presents a true classic Spanish roads: the Citroën C15. “This van is timeless, simple, light and made with quality materials,” he says, showing an example that seems to have stood the test of time without major deterioration.

The Citroën C15, one of the best-selling models in Spain in the 80s and 90s, left a deep mark for its robustness and reliability. Bastida highlights its excellent manufacturing, assuring that “this was a vehicle designed to last; “Whoever bought one back then probably still maintains it and with fewer breakdowns than a new car from 2020.”

In the video, the mechanic highlights the virtues of the design by describing it as “a very simple but incredibly durable van” and stresses that “it rarely has any faults”.

Furthermore, he describes the model as a sample of solid engineering: “Look at how this unit is, the truth is that it still works, everything is in its place, we see that the parts are quite overwhelming in size for the weight and power it has. That is to say, it is very well built, it continues to work and the truth is that everything is made of iron, there is no plastic at all. There is nothing that can be broken in the short term. “Everything is designed and manufactured to last as long as possible without breaking or causing any problems.”

Finally, Bastida highlights aspects such as rear suspensionwhich he describes as “very robust, very resistant and very efficient”, and concludes by assuring that these elements allow the C15 to continue to operate without problem even after so many years. “It’s a simple car, but built to last,” he says, justifying why he considers it virtually indestructible.
