Valladolid, December 13 (EFECOM). – Izquierda Unida (IU) proposed this Saturday to extend the rental prices of 632,000 contracts ending in 2026 for three years by royal decree before the end of the year, which could affect 1.6 million people.
This is an “urgent” and “worrying” issue as tenants may face “speculation and an increase in rental prices,” IU Federal Coordinator Antonio Maíllo told reporters before attending the “Living with Rights: Housing and a shopping basket for everyone” conference held in Valladolid.
“The government cannot be paralyzed because we need to specifically expand rights to improve people’s material lives, and I say this because we need security, certainty and calm at this time,” he assured. EFECOM
