Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) became the most searched person on Google in Brazil after his arrest on the 22nd of this month. According to a poll by the platform, inquiries about him increased sixfold in the country in the period between his arrest and Thursday (27).
His name was searched four times more than President Lula’s name.
25 other countries also registered searches for Bolsonaro on Google, with the United States appearing as the 16th most interested country in the former president.
Prison also dominated the list of most searched questions on the tool about him, with some intriguing questions, such as “Is Luisa Bossi Bolsonaro?” She posted a video in which she spoke about the grievances that were considered veiled support for the former president.
