Paul’s challenge to super middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is another attempt to lure him into the ring. At the beginning of the year, the YouTuber accused the Mexican boxer of having broken a contract signed for a fight – Canelo, who always disdained the American, had reached an agreement for four fights in Saudi Arabia.
Due to his injury, Jake Paul did not speak to the press during the post-fight press conference, he only spoke in the ring, coughing up a lot of blood. Nikisa Bidarian, CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, the fighter’s promoter, however reassured about his state of health. “He’s fine, he drove to the hospital,” he said.
According to Bidarian, Paul will be back in the ring soon. “A broken jaw is very common in sport, especially in boxing or MMA,” he commented. “I think the recovery time, according to the doctors and surgeons we’ve spoken with, is four to six weeks.”
