The Portuguese also commented on the favoritism given to Cruzeiro before the match. Jardim stressed that duels at this stage of the competition are always complicated and that the team must play as it has this season to claim the ranking.
“I told the players that a lot of people were saying it was going to be easy and I had already warned them that in a cup semi-final, with two teams with big shirts, there are no easy games. play a match like Cruzeiro to qualify,” he stressed.

Even with the home defeat, the coach believes the team will be able to turn things around. The Portuguese believes that the return match will have the same characteristics as that of the Mineirão and recalls the important results obtained by Cabuloso as a visitor to the Brasileirão.
