The joint initiative of Atlas Intel and Bloombergknown as Latam pulsepublished its monthly survey on the political and social situation in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The survey combines various indicators that allow us to track the evolution of the region’s political, economic and social climate, including lPresidential approval and assessment of government efforts.
The study was carried out between December 10th and 15th These included 5,139 respondents in Argentina, 18,154 in Brazil, 5,536 in Chile, 3,071 in Colombia, 4,571 in Mexico and 2,926 in Peru. In all countries the margin of error was ±1 percentage point.
Regarding presidential approval, the report shows different scenarios. In Argentina, Javier Milei recorded 44% approval and 52% disapproval. In Brazil, Lula da Silva achieved 49% support compared to 51% opposition. In Chile, Gabriel Boric received only 37% approval and 61% opposition, in a context marked by the recent electoral defeat of his political camp against the opposition candidate José Antonio Kast.

Poll: Claudia Sheinbaum leads the Latin American approval ranking, followed by Lula da Silva and further behind Milei
In Colombia, Gustavo Petro received 39% approval and 58% disapproval. Mexico showed the most favorable data in the region: President Claudia Sheinbaum received 61% approval, versus 32% disapproval. In Peru, José Jerí slightly exceeded the regional average with 51% agreement, 39% disagreement and 11% “don’t know” responses, the highest level of lack of definition among the countries analyzed.

Assessment of government efforts
Assessments of government efforts reflected similar trends, although with different percentages. In Argentina, despite the president’s personal approval rating of 44%, the government received only 35% supportcompared to 48% rejection. In Brazil, Lula’s government showed clear parity with 47% approval and 49% disapproval.
In Chile the management of Boric showed numbers consistent with the latest election scenario: 29% approval and 53% disapproval. In Colombia, Petro’s government recorded 33% approval compared to 51% disapproval.
Mexico once again stood out with the best record: 49% of respondents approved of Sheinbaum’s management and 29% disapproved.. In Peru, however, the lack of definition prevailed: 44% answered “they don’t know,” while 25% supported the presidential administration and 31% opposed it.
