Father of a man named accountant of the First Capital Command (PCC), Wagner Morgado was shot dead in Cubatão, on the coast of São Paulo, this Thursday (12/18). His son, Rodrigo Morgado, was arrested during Operation Narco Bet, which also arrested influencer Bruno Alexssander Souza Silva, known as Buzeira.
According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), military police were called to respond to a shooting incident on Rua das Primaveras. On site, the authorities noted that the 51-year-old man had been rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which confirmed his death at the address.
The area was sealed off for forensic examination and the victim’s cell phone was seized for analysis. The man’s son-in-law went to the police station, but said he did not witness the crime.

After the CEO’s arrest, the battle for the Jeep comes to an end. To understand
The incident was registered as a homicide in the 3rd Police District of Cubatão and will be investigated by the 3rd Homicide Police Station of the Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (Deic) of Santos.
Possible PCC accountant
Rodrigo de Paula Morgado, known as the “CEO of Jeep,” became richer by more than 7.5 million reais between 2022 and 2023.
According to records, it went from assets of R$295,882.27 to R$7,965,157.94 during the period. Additionally, between 2019 and 2024, the businessman processed more than R$300 million, including financial transactions with cryptoassets that approach the figure of R$100 million. In some financial stocks, the values processed were much higher than those declared.
“It draws attention to the fact that Rodrigo de Paula Morgado was responsible for the transfer of such significant value to the Buzeira Digital company, and not the other way around, since Rodrigo was a service provider for this company,” the investigation underlines.
He is identified by the Federal Police (PF) as a “possible logistical and financial operator” of the scheme and acted as a “real private bank” for other people under investigation, moving large sums of money into personal accounts and companies under his control, including carrying out conversions into cryptocurrencies and facilitating transfers to third parties, all illegally.
Authorities also point to a direct relationship between Morgado and a ship called Veleiro Lobo IV, seized by the US Navy, between the Cape Verde archipelago and the Canary Islands, as it was used to transport more than four tons of cocaine, which gave rise to Operation Narco Vela, which resulted in Operation Narco Bet.
In a note sent to MetropolisesThe businessman’s defense stated that Morgado is innocent and “has always acted exclusively as an accountant, providing services of a technical and regular nature to different clients, within the legal limits of the profession.”
Arrested by the PF
The “Jeep CEO” was arrested by the federal police on a previous occasion, during an operation against international drug trafficking, called Operation Narco Vela — which gave birth to Narco Bet, launched this Tuesday (14/10).
At the time, Rodrigo was the target of search and seizure warrants at several addresses, in Santos, Bertioga and São Paulo. Morgado was arrested in the capital São Paulo for illegal possession of a weapon found in his car. Federal police agents were carrying out seizures at these addresses when, inside one of the two luxury vehicles seized from the person indicted, they found the weapon.
