Less than 24 hours after the official announcement that Spain will not participate in Eurovision, RTVE has announced who will be the presenter of Benidorm 2026 with the aim of giving a boost to the national festival. The list of presenters for the fifth edition of the competition, which will be held on February 10, 12 and 14, contains important news and even news.

Jesús Vazquez, associated with Mediaset Channels for nearly 25 years, moves to National Public Television to lead the group of presenters that will host the Benidorm Festival 2026. Director Javier Ambrosi and already a veteran in these fields, Inés Hernand, will also be responsible for hosting the music competition. The statement sent by the public channel on Friday takes the opportunity to announce that Jesús Vázquez has joined RTVE “after a brilliant career in private television, where he was responsible for all types of forms of entertainment for more than three decades.” This is done a few hours after Mediaset announced his recovery There you are!a competition presented by Vázquez and which Juanra Bonet will now take charge of.

Director, actor, producer and screenwriter Javier Ambrosi will make his debut as a presenter for the Benidorm Festival in La 1, where he has already presented the 2024 Goya Awards and where he was also an acting teacher at Operation Victory In 2017 and 2018.

Inés Hernand is the only repeat head of the festival and has participated in all sessions. She was part of the presenting crew for 2022, 2023 and 2025 as the person responsible for collecting artists’ feedback after their performances. Lalachus joins the team as part of the presenting trio Benidorm Callthe program before each concert on RTVE Play with Angela Fernandez and Juanjo Bona.

Although Spain will not participate in Eurovision, plans to celebrate the Benidorm festival continue. This year, it will celebrate five years of history through the edition that will be held in the city of Alicante on February 10, 12 and 14, with two semi-final matches and a final that will commemorate the fifth anniversary of the competition.

The Benidorm Fest 2026 lineup will consist of Asha, Atyat, Dani J, Dora & Marlon Collins, Funambulista, Greg Taro, Izan Llunas, Kenneth, KITAI, KU Minerva, Luna Ki, María León ft. Julia Medina, MAYO, Mikel Herzog Jr., Miranda!&bailamamá, Rosalinda Galán, The Quinquis, Tony Grox and LUCYCALYS. The songs will be published on December 18th.

In addition to its presenters, Benidorm 2026 will introduce other new features, such as a new image by graphic designer Iñaki San Juan, and an artistic team composed of Sergio Gian, artistic director, and dancer Borja Rueda, choreographer.

Another great novelty in this edition is the winner’s prize: in addition to the bronze microphone, the winner will receive a cash prize totaling 150,000 euros. Of this amount, 100,000 euros will be allocated to the performers and 50,000 euros to the song’s authors. Profits from the editorial rights to the winning song will again be entirely up to the author. Of course, this time the winner will not represent Spain at Eurovision.
