Black machine
Until this Sunday, Itaú Cultural hosts the season of Black Machine, a show that features actors Fernando Lufer and Marina Esteves in the roles of Hamlet and Ofélia, classic characters of world theater, experiencing a radical confrontation, confronting race, necropolitics, toxic masculinity, pain and desire, while exposing the ruins of a world and the reconstruction of their identities.
With a fine line between delirium, manifesto and performance, the show is a polyphonic experience in which the classic is crossed by the present, ranging from colonization to globalization, from intimate pain to systemic violence. In this scenario, full of poetic fragments, philosophical provocations and layers of political references, Hamlet and Ophelia confront each other, provoke each other, reinvent themselves — and, in doing so, expose the world in which they live.

The house that waits
The show A Casa que Espera, from Grupo Sobrevento, ends its season this Sunday. The play, which uses the language of Théâtre des Objects, is aimed at babies aged 0 to 6 and their families, celebrating the love of fathers and mothers and the delicate tension between attachments and freedoms.
The theme of the show is the desire for childhood, the feeling of being children and the care received from parents when we were little. The show is born from the poetic image of the house that we left behind when we grew up, but which we continue to carry in our imagination – even when we have already built our own house and we must also, like our parents, accept the departure of their children.
