Julieta Spina began her path in the fashion world as a model, a stage that gave her tools, sensitivity and a very fine intuition to understand what works and what doesn’t. With this background, years later he founded Diada, his boutique marketing and communications studio specializing in fashion, luxury and lifestyle. From there he develops strategies, content and concepts for brands that he truly connects with, always with his mix of simplicity, freshness and impeccable aesthetics. Here are some keys that define your personal style.
What do you like most about fashion?
The endless creativity of designers, the versatility of the proposals they present on the catwalk and then on the shelves.
Your favorite designer?
Jacquemus and Anthony Vaccarello.
The last thing you bought?
A classic jacket that I have wanted for years.
Most controversial thing you wore because you loved it?
Some slippers I still haven’t discovered whether they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use, but they look great on me with jeans and a white t-shirt. And the most controversial thing is that I still use them.
A trend that never goes out of style?
The color black.
That piece of clothing you’ve been wearing for a while and can’t let go of?
A silver Alexander McQueen dress. I don’t use it anymore, but it’s a gem that I can’t let go of.
Must-haves in your suitcase?
Creams and even more face creams, I think that weighs the most in my suitcase.
A place in the world?
Any place with a sea.
Most elegant fictional character?
Wonder Woman seems the coolest to me.
What color do you never wear?
The pink.
The most elegant woman in Argentina?
Juliana Awada: elegant, cool and chic.
Are there any style tips that stand out to you?
If you are in doubt about what to wear, choose black.
Do you shop online or in person?
Online and in person.
Who inspires you?
Isabel Marant. The unstructured, chic and modern style of his brand was and is an inspiration for many other brands.
An essential accessory?
A gold necklace.
A fashion icon?
Coco Chanel.
Your favorite outfit?
A pair of jeans and a white t-shirt.
Something you can’t believe you used?
As a girl, I had leggings with lots of prints that I wore like they were the coolest thing of the moment. Today I see the photos and they have nothing to do with me.
How do you choose your look every morning?
I choose my look depending on what meeting I have that day and who it is with. It also depends on the weather: If it’s sunny, I usually choose colors, if it’s cloudy or raining, I almost always choose black. Lately it’s taking me a long time to get ready. It takes me at least 20 minutes between applying cream, answering WhatsApp messages and changing clothes.
A piece of clothing that reminds you of a happy moment?
A black dress I bought when I was pregnant to fit my belly. I still have the image of that dress in my memory.
If you could choose the style of any other decade, what would it be and why?
Audrey Hepburns: simple, elegant, fresh and modern.
