The singer Anitta watched this Sunday (12/21) The Secret Agent, by Kleber Mendonça Filho, pre-nominated for the Oscar and in competition for the Golden Globe in 2026. The artist sent a series of compliments to the film, then received thanks from the director for having “made known” the film.
Through her social media profile, Anitta, who lives outside Brazil, revealed that she received a special link from the production itself to watch the thriller with Wagner Moura. But he encouraged Brazilians to watch the film in cinemas.
“Go see this film. It will support Brazilian cinema. Because foreigners already have a lot of support around the world and Brazilian cinema needs more and more spectators and support,” he encouraged.
The singer said she was surprised by the film’s narration, which mixes humor, drama and tension. “I thought it was one thing, but when I went to see it, it was 500 times better,” he said.
“Just look at it. It’s a work of art, poetry, history, comedy, denunciation. Everything is at once. This film is amazing, you don’t understand. It already has several international nominations for best actor, best film, best supporting actress…” said Anitta.
After the shower of praise, Kleber Mendonça Filho reserved a special space on his Instagram feed to thank the singer. Alice Carvalho, who stars alongside Wagner Moura and was also featured in Anitta’s post, also shared this assessment.
