
La Coruña Town Hall It will have a budget of 375 million euros in 2026 after an agreement between socialists and nationalists as part of negotiations led by the two groups.
“The budget will have an expansive character to strengthen economic revitalization, social protection policies, sustainable mobility and improved investment in neighborhoods,” declared the mayor, socialist Inés Rey, during a press conference.
The BNG stressed in a statement that it has reached an agreement in principle under which the budgets are given the green light, an issue which was discussed in the Local Government Council on Tuesday. “At the same time, the political agreement with the local government is being finalized which will accompany the budgets”, they say.

In this regard, during her appearance before the media, the advisor presented the general lines of the budgets. Rey thanked the BNG and its spokesperson, Francisco Jorquera, for the “ability to put the city above all other interests” and said the accounts reached 406 million if dependent organizations were added.

Among other aspects, the advisor highlighted the weight of housing policieswhich include more than four million euros for the municipal social rental housing building in Xuxán, but also the provision of 1.5 million euros so that the Municipal Housing Company can manage 500 municipal apartments for rent.
