The controversy grew after the conflict between Alberto del Rio —former fighter— and Eleazar Gomezan episode that included a sanction for both. The production decided to skip the usual penalty voting process, known as “The Legacy,” and appoint directly Alberto del Río as the first nominee of the week. During the traditional nomination duel there was a confrontation between Sergio Mayer Mori and Eleazar Gómez this Monday, December 8th. The first round ended in favor of Mayer Mori. However, Gómez claimed technical problems during the test because his lock was defective. “Eleazar, let’s definitely check your lock…the game will be repeated,” the host said. Afterward, Production approved repeating the challenge after reviewing the situation. On the second occasion it was Eleazar who prevailed, reversing the previous result.
