Laís Caldas is expecting her first child, the fruit of her marriage to Gustavo Marsengo, and left Internet users terrified when she declared that she became pregnant while taking contraceptives, the effect of which was interrupted due to the use of a weight loss drug.
After the repercussions of the affair, the doctor and former member of the BBB used Instagram, Monday 15/12, to reveal what happened: “‘Baby Mounjaro’ 🤰🏻👶🏻. Has this happened to other women here? 👀 PS: it is important to remember that no contraceptive method is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy”, she wrote in the caption of a video.
More details
In the recording, Laís Caldas detailed his case: The controversy over contraception. I am here to calm and encourage the hearts of you women who have talked a lot about the “new fear successfully unlocked”. I’ll tell you what happened to me: indeed, I was taking the right oral contraceptive, I didn’t change the contraceptive, it’s the same one I’ve been taking for a long time,” he began, before adding:
“But I got married in September and I did the protocol with Mounjaro, tizerpatide. I wanted to be slimmer at the wedding and I did the protocol. Mounjaro slows down gastric emptying and this reduces the absorption of some oral medications and one of the most affected are oral contraceptives. So it reduces the effectiveness of the contraceptive,” he said.
Previous treatment
Also in the publication, the doctor reported that she had already used the product, without any adverse effects: “I had already done the protocol with Mounjaro at the beginning of the year, with Ozempic last year, taking oral contraceptives and nothing happened. Then you say ‘ah, that won’t happen to me’, of course”, she said.
She then said, “God was just waiting for our marriage to bless us with this son or daughter. There is no other explanation. He had done it before and nothing happened, but at some point it might happen,” he guaranteed.
Tips for fans
Then, the ex-BBB clarified: “I’ll explain it to you right here. There are also antibiotics that can reduce the effect of contraceptives, not just Mounjaro, okay? So, whoever doesn’t want to have a child, warn women to be careful,” she advised.
And he concluded: “But a son is a blessing, we are very happy. It really wasn’t planned at the moment, but we are very happy. It was as God wanted it and next year there will be baby LaGusta (the couple’s sender’s name),” he concluded.
