The young Briton from Formula 1’s most historic team is the new world champion: Lando Norris, just 26 years old, overtook Max Verstappen and his own teammate, Oscar Piastri, and won the elite motorsport title.
Norris didn’t lead for most of the championship – the one who was in the lead for much of the season was Piastri. Many times it seemed that the title already had its owner, but everything changed when Norris took the lead and achieved impressive victories, showing all his talent in the category.
In Abu Dhabi, he had only one mission: get on the podium and win the title. And that’s exactly what happened. For a few laps, the race remained unpredictable, with Charles Leclerc dreaming of attacking, but the motorsport gods decreed what everyone expected: Lando Norris is the new world champion.
Between tears, hugs and lots of celebrations, Norris writes a new chapter in Formula 1 history, leaving his mark as the new world champion.
