This Friday, December 12, the National University of La Plata closes the registration deadline for applicants for admission to one of its 17 faculties in 2026. Interested people must register through a virtual form entered through the website of each academic unit.
Registrations will only be accepted from people who want to compete exclusively and in a single race in 2026. For this purpose, the application for admission is an affidavit. Therefore, any type of registration already made for the year 2026 in another national university or in another profession will result in you not being able to make a new registration in this House of Studies.
Necessary documentation
To complete the registration process, the following documents must be provided via the virtual form:
– Photo of the identity card, certificate of enrollment or citizen card on both sides. If you are a student with foreign citizenship, a photo of your passport or ID card from your country of origin.
– A front photo of the candidate.
– Certificate or title of completed secondary studies, in PDF file. In the case of those who completed their secondary studies abroad, the certificate or title of complete secondary studies (analytical certificate of all years of secondary education with information on the subjects and their respective grades) must be legalized by the relevant national educational authority and the Argentine consulate or apostille of their country of origin and duly validated by that authority. If the title is not in Spanish, you must provide a translation from a national public translator. In the event that you have not yet completed secondary school, submit in a PDF file the relevant provisional certificate from the school authority stating that you have completed the last year and are taking or taking subjects. If the certificate comes from another country, it must have the apostille of the country of origin.
– For applicants whose native language is not Spanish, the certification that demonstrates sufficient knowledge of the Spanish language.
Applicants whose native language is not Spanish must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of this language. For this purpose, the House of Studies recognizes as valid and sufficient the Certificate of Spanish: Language and Use (CELU) offered by the ELSE Interuniversity Consortium of the Argentine Republic or the Certificate of Academic Spanish of the Faculty of Humanities and Education of this University (CertEA).
The academic units determine the language level to be recognized and can also recognize other equivalent certifications. This certificate must be presented at the time of registration within the time limit specified in Article 1 of these Conditions. To complete registration, all documents (original) must be submitted to the academic department in a timely manner; Failure to comply with the provisions herein or discrepancy between what was sent upon registration and the originals submitted will result in termination of the conditional registration.
At the time of completing the registration process for admission to the University in 2026, the various faculties will send each applicant a copy of the current study plan for the career in which he is enrolling, leaving the corresponding entry in the body of the email with which it is sent.
In accordance with Regulation No. 2 of the Supreme Council of February 10, 2016, a photocopy of the certificate certifying compliance with the National Vaccination Schedule according to age (hepatitis B, triple or double bacterial and triple viral in all forms of use) must be submitted, setting August 28, 2026 as the deadline for the submission of this documentation.
For effective acceptance into the respective academic unit, applicants must have no secondary course credit owed as of June 30, 2026 and must submit appropriate documentation to the student department of the faculty in which they are enrolled by July 10, 2026.
Students will not be able to take a final examination or pass subjects by direct promotion unless they present a duly authenticated final or provisional certificate of completion of their secondary studies before June 30, 2026 and submit the relevant documentation to the student department of the faculty in which they are enrolled by July 10, 2026.
The applicant who registered with a provisional certification has until February 26, 2027 to submit the unique certificate or original title along with the corresponding photocopy. In the case of secondary school qualifications from abroad, the relevant confirmation from the country’s Ministry of Education must be presented within this period.
For applicants with foreign nationality, after completing the precarious, temporary or permanent residence permit procedure at the National Migration Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, students must submit a copy of the certificate to the student department of the relevant academic unit and set the deadline for presentation of November 27, 2026.
The Executive Board of this House of Studies and/or the academic units may, taking into account the specific operational characteristics of each of them, establish extensions or exceptions to the deadlines and conditions established in their decision. Academic units will enable alternative communication mechanisms (email, WhatsApp, etc.) to assist applicants who have difficulty logging in via the virtual form.
