The PSOE and Sumar are meeting this Friday to address alleged cases of corruption and internal complaints of sexual harassment against several former socialist leaders, in a meeting demanded by those of Yolanda Díazwho are waiting for a strong response from their government partner to relaunch the relationship.
The meeting will take place after Sumar demanded an urgent overhaul of the government and profound changes to respond to cases of alleged corruption within the PSOE and internal complaints of sexual harassment within the party and denounced the “immobility” of the Socialists in the face of these scandals.
The meeting, whose details such as location and time have not been revealed, will include the organizing secretary of the PSOE, Rébéca Torroand the members of his team, while it is not clear who Sumar’s representatives will be.
For Sumar, the meeting must be a turning point after which the PSOE acts and shows that the Executive will continue to expand the social policies agreed by both parties in their coalition agreement.
The PSOE, for its part, insists that it acted from the beginning against the alleged corrupt parties and in response to complaints of harassment and faces the meeting with a desire for understanding to continue to govern and exhaust the legislative power.
