The launch of the first commercial rocket in Brazil, scheduled for Wednesday (12/17), has been postponed. The South Korean company Innospace, responsible for producing the Hanbit-Nano, confirmed progress “for the replacement of components” of the projectile.
Now the launch is scheduled for next Friday (12/19), at 3:45 p.m., at the Alcântara base, in Maranhão, with the support of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
According to Innospace, during the final inspection, carried out on Tuesday (16/12), an anomaly was detected in the cooling device of the oxidizer supply system, which will be corrected to ensure the success of the launch.
“After confirming the cause and the measures taken, it was decided to change the launch date. This measure allows the launch after the replacement of some components of the cooling system and does not indicate a structural defect of the launcher itself,” said a note from Innospace.
Last Monday (15/12), Innospace transported the Hanbit-Nano rocket from the assembly building to the launch platform, at the Alcântara base.
The launch window of Operation Spaceward, carried out by the FAB, at the Alcântara Launch Center (CL), in Maranhão, has been adjusted to the period from December 17 to 22.

Brazil in the space launch market
Initially, the rocket launch was scheduled for November 22, but was postponed.
The timeline that will take HANBIT-Nano into space follows a strict sequence, coordinated by FAB in partnership with Innospace. From systems verification to the final decision to authorize the flight, each step is monitored and executed by specialized technical teams who work in absolute synchronization.
