Condensed milk pudding is one of the most traditional desserts on the Brazilian table and is usually present during family lunches and special dates, such as Christmas. With the popularization of the air fryer, the recipe has gained a more practical version, which reduces the preparation steps without compromising the creamy texture and characteristic flavor of the candy.
Made with simple and affordable ingredients, air fryer pudding is an alternative for those looking for speed in the kitchen without giving up a classic and delicious dessert.
Ingredients
Syrup
1 cup of sugar
½ cup hot water
Pudding
1 can of condensed milk
2 eggs
1 cup of whole milk
Preparation method
In a saucepan, put the sugar over low heat and let it melt until it forms a golden caramel. Carefully add the hot water little by little, stirring until you obtain a smooth syrup. Pour the caramel into a pudding mold and set aside.
In a blender, beat the condensed milk, whole milk and eggs until smooth. Pour the cream over the cold syrup.
Place the mold in a baking dish filled with water, covering about half the height of the mold to create a bain-marie effect. Cover with foil and place in an air fryer preheated to 160°C for about 30 minutes. If necessary, let sit for another 10 minutes, until the center is firm but creamy.
After cooking, remove the pudding, let it cool and refrigerate for a few hours before unmolding and serving. Now taste it!
