Two countries
There is not just one country. There are two countries. Irreconcilable? There is one country that is industrious and generous, another that is “lively” and well-off (“extremely solidary” using other people’s money and assets, never their own) and the two countries cut across different social classes. There are those who stand against discretion and many others who, out of comfort and cowardice, lower their eyes and look to the side. A country that misses Favaloro and another that will always celebrate hand-scored goals. The football scandal is not just a simple anecdote. It is the true reflection of not one country, but two countries.
Irreconcilable?

Limping
In new evidence of immorality, the Argentine Football Association imposed sanctions on the president of Estudiantes de la Plata and his players for not approving the strange title that was awarded to Rosario Central. It is the same AFC that protected the president of another club who was filmed while putting a large sum of dollars in his pocket. As a lawyer, I deplore the lax attitude of my colleagues who make up the disciplinary tribunal of the discredited Argentine Football Association.

Highway network
Recently, the government postponed the construction of a safe highway network until 2045. It’s a shame! Laura’s plan is still in effect, with some updates, to build more than 10,000 kilometers of roads, without tolls, financed by a fuel tax, which will be determined by specialists and whose money will not go to the state but to a trust fund controlled by the economy and the intervening provinces. These funds will only be available to construction companies at the end of each section. conclusion; The company’s employment will be revitalized, road hazards will be reduced by having modern and smart highways, safe shoulders, elimination of dangerous sections, reduced accident deaths, and logistical costs reduced by reducing travel times. Funding must be adjusted according to the needs of each department due to decreased traffic. There are many advantages that I have not mentioned and we will quickly enter the modern era of using safe means of transportation for travelers and carriers in our vast country.

defense minister
Appointing a military man as Minister of Defense gives me some reassurance that the security of the region will be in the hands of someone trained in his region and with experience coming from below. This is how all high public offices should be. After all, one wants a qualified teacher who will teach our children to read and write, not a fighter, friend or lover of “to whom and for whom,” as recent populist governments have done with the results of overcrowded borders and no entry of citizens or tourists like parrots through their homes.

Vaccines
It seems unbelievable that in the twenty-first century there would be anyone who would oppose necessary and compulsory vaccination. It is enough to know that in just over 100 years, life expectancy at birth has increased by about 45 years on average. This is largely due to scientific development and the innovation and application of vaccines.

Impunity
The scene I witnessed on Friday afternoon once again highlighted an all-too-common behavior in our country: the sense of impunity with which many political actors move in public. An official car parked in a clearly prohibited area, the repeated warnings from a customer who was simply trying to do his job and the complete indifference of those who should be the first to respect the rules. These types of seizures, although common, are still worrisome. It shows how the rules that apply to citizens seem more flexible when it comes to figures in authority. The lack of consequences for these behaviors fuels the perception that there are double standards: one standard for the general population and another for those who hold public office. This gesture, despite its apparent small size, expresses the culture of impunity that weakens trust in institutions. When rules are ignored without repercussions, the message sent is clear: obligations are not the same for everyone. This disparity ultimately leads to the deterioration of democratic life.

Noise
On Thursday 27 November, between 5 and 11:30 p.m., the emblematic Plaza San Martin and its surrounding buildings were subjected to musical playing at levels that were certainly injurious to health at the Open Retreat event. 25 chemical toilets were placed in the arena to flush out the crowd who did not show up. When I complained, they told me that the show was licensed by the GCBA. It was not necessary to hold an expensive and annoying event paid for by city taxpayers with the noise created by the DJ and singer, which did not contribute at all to boosting activity in the Retiro neighborhood.
