The chain’s 24th store opens this Thursday the 11th; celebrating its 40 years of history, Vila also presents its new visual identity
Celebrating 40 years of history, the Village bookstore opens this Thursday 11, at 9 a.m., a unit on Avenida Paulista and presents its new visual identity.
With 800 m² and a collection of more than 100,000 objects, including books and stationery, the new unit is located at number 1063, on the corner of Alameda Campinas.
“Being in Paulista has always been a dream of ours. The avenue is a cultural icon of the city and nothing is more symbolic than the opening of this unit in the year in which we celebrate four decades of history,” comments Samuel Seibel, partner of Vila.
The 24th unit of the network has a project, signed by the Office of Architects, which includes spaces dedicated to literature, the arts, the human sciences, as well as sections for children’s literature, geek, self-help and religion. The children’s audience stands out with a fun space, a vast collection and a specialized service.
The store will also have The Jazz Cafésigned by the same owners of Jazz Bistrô and Jazz Boulangerie, designed especially for the Paulista project.
“The project integrates a café with the bookstore in an organic way, expanding the possibilities for coexistence. More than a new store, we seek to create a space that is part of the urban route of Avenida Paulista, welcoming a diverse audience,” explains Greg Bousquet, founder of the Architects Office.
The village with a new look
As part of the celebrations of its four decades, the Village presents a new visual identity. Inspired by the original brand from 1985, it celebrates the strength of the trajectory and preserves the essence of the bookstore, now renewed in dialogue with new times and connected to new generations of readers.
“Vila is in constant motion, but always preserves its essence. The visual update reflects this spirit: modernizing without losing the identity that brings us closer to readers,” reinforces the company’s CEO, Eliana Menegucci.
Gradually, all Vila units will adopt the new identity, marking the next phase.
