Fourteen months after Dana, a historic disaster which left 230 dead in the province of Valencia, a joint commission between administrations will be activated to coordinate the reconstruction of Ground Zero. This is the main “firm” commitment that the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, … Juanfran Pérez Llorca, launched the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, during his first meeting this Wednesday in Moncloa.
This has in fact been one of the biggest demands of the Regional Executive throughout this period, since its creation after the eruption of the La Palma volcano. During a “serious and friendly work” meeting that lasted about an hour, Llorca handed Sánchez a document containing one hundred necessary measures for the Valencian Community.
“I don’t consider it a success because it should have been done from the beginning,” Llorca said, which is why he does not consider the meeting satisfactory. “A lot of time was wasted,” he lamented.
