ingredients
- 1 old brioche
- 2 cups milk (tea)
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cinnamon powder to taste
- 2 and 1/2 cup (tea) sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cup (tea) of water
- 2 tablespoons of vinegar
Preparation method
- In a bowl, mix milk, condensed milk, beaten eggs, vanilla and cinnamon until smooth.
- Cut the brioche into wide slices.
- Dip the slices into the mixture, pressing them lightly until they absorb the liquid well from both sides.
- Fry the French toast in the hot oil until evenly browned.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel.
- In a pan still away from the heat, mix the sugar and water. And vinegar until it dissolves.
- Cook over medium-low heat without stirring for about 15 minutes, until it reaches hard candy point.
- Turn off the heat and pour the hot syrup over each piece of toast.
- Wait for it to cool until it is firm, then garnish with strawberries if desired.
