Sports editorial team, December 12 (EFE). – The Spaniards Lucas Eguibar and Álvaro Romero passed the classification of the Snowboard Cross World Cup event in Cervinia (Italy) and will therefore compete in the qualification this Saturday.
Eguibar, winner of the 2015 World Championships and 2021 World Gold Medalist in Snowboard Boardercross, reached the pass in ninth place in the first run, 0.58 behind the best time of Frenchman Jonas Chollet (29.37), who was ahead of his compatriot Merlin Surget (+0.32) and Italian Omar Visintin (+0.51).
For his part, Álvaro Romero failed in the first descent, in which he finished 22nd with 1.21 behind Chollet, but in the second he came ninth with 50.95, which allowed him access to the elimination rounds. EFE
