This is Lucas Pinheiro’s seventh podium finish for Brazil. He was only 0s18m behind Austrian Marco Schwarz, who won gold. It was also the third time that the athlete was among the top three in the giant slalom, which is not his specialty.
It is worth remembering that Lucas is one of the main Brazilian names in winter sports and a medal is expected at the Winter Olympics, which will be held in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina D’Ampezzo, in February 2026.
