Luís Castro has signed for two seasons with a giant club in the Brazilian Championship and should soon arrive in Brazil.

Coach Luís Castro, formerly of Botafogo, signed this Friday afternoon (12), with Grêmio. The information comes from journalists Bruno Andrade and Gustavo Berton, from ESPN.
According to the publication, negotiations within the board of directors of the Rio Grande do Sul club lasted four days and resulted in an agreement valid with the Portuguese coach until December 2027.
The agreement was finalized last Thursday evening (11), when the Grêmio leaders defined the final details with Luís Castro.
In addition to the arrival of the Portuguese, who managed Botafogo between 2022 and 2023, Grêmio will also have a new technical committee, formed by: Vítor Severino, deputy; Nuno Baptista, analyst; Betinho and Nuno Cerdeira, physical trainers; and Daniel Correia, goalkeeping coach.
Despite this agreement, no date has yet been set for the coach’s arrival in Brazil.
