President Lula declared this Friday (12/12), in a pleasant tone, that the fault for the widespread lack of energy in São Paulo after the strong wind storm of recent days was attributable to the governor of the state, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
Lula made this joke when he was approached by the mayor of the capital of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), to address the subject, after all three participated in the launch ceremony of the news channel “SBT News”. The event took place at the channel’s studios in São Paulo.

“It’s Tarcísio’s fault,” Lula said, laughing. The mayor then responded that it was neither the president’s nor the governor’s fault. After the joke, the PT deputy said he would discuss the matter with the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira.
Before the match, Nunes showed Lula the mayor’s cell phone screen with a chart showing that at that time, 498,000 homes had been without electricity for three days in Greater São Paulo, which covers the capital and neighboring cities.
