
The Board of Directors of the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM) approved this Monday the extension of current rates for the entire year 2026, so that the extraordinary bonuses and reductions on transport tickets in the region are maintained.
The agreement, ratified in a meeting chaired by the Minister of Presidency, Justice and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, ensures the continuity of the bonuses applied since July 2025.
Some six million users will continue to benefit from the same prices from January 1, 2026 on the Metro, bus and Tram networks.
Children under 14 and those over 65 will be able to continue to travel for free in the region by public transport.
Specifically, The three types of free subscriptions that already existed will be maintainedthe children’s card up to 7 years old, that of those over 65 years old, entirely financed by the Regional Executive, and the new one incorporated on July 1, 2025 with free access for minors up to 14 years old.
On the other hand, the 50% discounts on the Youth Pass are also extended, aimed at people between 15 and 25 years old, who will be able to continue traveling throughout the region for 10 euros per month.
Other monthly titles aimed at users between 26 and 64 years old They will maintain a 40% discount. Thus, that of zone A maintains the rate of 32.70; B1 will continue at 38:20; B2 will cost 43.20 and B3, C1 and C2 will continue at 49.20. The 10-trip voucher for Metro, EMT and ML1 will maintain a reduced price of 7.30 euros.
These bonuses are financed by the Community of Madrid, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and the rest of the administrations participating in the Consortium and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
