Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has assured that the Americans will “tie the hands of the crazy people who want war” on the South American continent, amid tensions with Washington, which this Tuesday carried out new attacks on three ships in Pacific waters, killing eight people.
“I know that the people of the United States will tie the hands of the crazy warriors who want to force an oil war in South America,” he said during his broadcast on state broadcaster VTV.
The president has said that he trusts in the “seriousness” of union leaders and political and religious movements in the North American country, who understand “the seriousness of the military threats” of the Donald Trump administration.
“Many political leaders, many, many, and opinion leaders are fully aware of the value of peace in America and the value of respecting Venezuela as an exemplary country, as a country that respects the United States, international law and a peaceful and pacifist country,” he defended himself, emphasizing that he knows the United States “very well,” a country that “I also love very much.”
That same Tuesday morning, the U.S. Army Southern Command killed eight people traveling aboard three different ships in the waters of the Eastern Pacific. As usual, the Pentagon assured that they were “drug traffickers”. This attack has already resulted in 95 deaths and 26 “drug boats” destroyed by Washington since September.
