A 31-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence against his own mother last Friday (12/12) in a residence in the Cruzeiro neighborhood, in Itatiba, in the interior of São Paulo.
Police say the suspect exhibited “extremely aggressive behavior” inside the property. The woman called for help and locked herself in until officers arrived.

Violence against the mother
- The incident was registered at the Itatiba police station as domestic violence, aggravated damage and resistance.
- “When the military arrived on the scene, the attacker resisted the approach and attacked the team with a piece of wood, requiring the use of a neuromuscular incapacitation weapon to control him,” informed the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), in a note.
- The attacker received medical treatment and was then taken to the police station.
- The mother expressed interest in granting urgent protection measures for her son.
