A 34-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto by the Civil Police of Amazonas (PCAM), in the early hours of this Sunday (12/21), for the crime of assault and battery on his 42-year-old partner. The attacks took place in the middle of a street in the Aparecida neighborhood, in the municipality of Manacapuru (AM), near a police station.
According to Delegate Joyce Coelho, in the early hours of the crime, the victim and suspect were drinking alcoholic beverages when they began arguing. During the argument, the man began attacking the woman by punching her, pulling her hair and biting her.

“A witness who was at the scene in a vehicle said she heard the victim’s screams and witnessed the attacks. She intervened to help the woman and, shortly after, a Civil Police investigator arrived on the scene,” informed the delegate.
The man was arrested and taken to the police station. During her testimony, the victim stated that she had been in a relationship with the individual since 2023 and that he already had a history of violence.
“The man has a criminal record for the crime of drug trafficking and, therefore, uses an electronic ankle bracelet, with time restrictions,” reported Joyce Coelho.
