Man sentenced in court for murder of Enel electrician

The businessman and bodybuilder Randal Rossoni was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the death of the electrician Odail Maximilienwho worked in outsourced services for Enel. The trial took place this Thursday (12/11) and determined that the sentence would initially be served in a closed regime. Rossoni shot Maximiliano after the electrician interrupted the power supply to a gymnasium on Rua Antônio Carlos Lamego, east of São Paulo, in March 2024.

According to the investigation, Enel ordered a power cut due to the establishment’s debts. Maximiliano worked for a partner company of the dealership. Randal Rossoni started an argument and tried to attack the electricians, who managed to escape and finish the job before heading to Avenida São Miguel for another task.

They were chased and surprised by the businessman, who shot Maximiliano, hitting him in the armpit. The 26-year-old electrician was rescued but did not survive.

Protest

The day after the crime, Enel subcontractor workers demonstrated against the death of their colleague. They covered several streets in the East zone with one blast of their horn. Arriving at the Carlito Maia viaduct, they got out of the vehicles and remained entwined on the protective wall.

At the time, Enel rejected violence. “The company is in contact with the partner company so that assistance can be provided to the employee’s family. Enel emphasizes that a police report has been registered and that it will follow the investigations carried out by the police authorities so that this crime does not go unpunished.”

Randal Rossoni admitted to police that he argued with Odail after the establishment blackout. According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the police found the businessman in his gymnasium.

The São Paulo court accepted the prosecutor’s thesis and confirmed the conviction for double homicide, considering that it was a frivolous motive and the use of a resource that made it difficult to defend the victim.
