Manchester City continues the saga to reach the top of the Premier League. This Saturday (6/12), the Cityzens hosted Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium, for the round of 15, and won 3 x 0. The goals were scored by Rúben Dias, Gvardiol and Foden.
The home team started to build the victory in the 31st minute of the first half, with a goal scored by Rubén Dias. Moments later, Manchester City increased their lead with Gvardiol, at 35. In the final stage, Phil Foden found the back of the net and closed the score.

With this result, the Cityzens occupy 2nd place, with 31 points. The club is two behind Premier League leaders Arsenal. City are followed by Aston Villa, who have 30. With this setback, Sunderland are in 7th place with 23 points.
City took advantage of Arsenal’s slippage this Sunday to move closer to the standings. The north London side were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa.
Manchester City’s next engagement will be in the Champions League. On Wednesday (10/12), the club will visit Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, at 5:00 p.m. (Brasilia time). Newcastle take to the field in the Premier League. The team plays the derby against Newcastle next Sunday (14/12), at 11 a.m. (Brasilia time).
