In completion of the 37th round of the Brazilian Championship, Gremio will welcome Fluminense on Tuesday (12/2). Tricolor Gauchos lost 2 x 1 at home, recording their 15th defeat in the competition. In a press conference, Mano Menezes was vague about his stay at the club.
“This does not come from the coach, it will come from the club management. If they understand that they have to talk to me before the last match, they can. What I will do is what I told you I would do under any circumstances. I will work in the last match of the season, against Sport, in Ilha do Retiro. We will give the best that I understand we can give in the last round, we will do that.”

During the press conference, Mano Menezes also commented on the result. According to the coach, he was disappointed with the result of the match, knowing that Gremio could have scored against Fluminense.
“I think we were a little worried in the first half, and we were forced to play. I think that’s the picture of our season. We did good things at times, but we were always inconsistent. We have to be more mature in the big matches,” said the coach.
With this setback for Fluminense, Gremio remains in tenth place with 46 points. In the final round of the Brazilian League, Tricolor faces Gaucho Sport away, at 4pm, on Sunday (12/7).
